It does not quite fit the current season, but anyway, I’ll be performing the premiere of my piano piece November Lament next Friday, 7:30 pm, in my university’s recital hall, as part of an amazing concert programmed by our music theory classes. If you can manage a mournful, sombre, and autumnous facial expression, please come around and help me getting into the mood!
Compositions
Begebenheit und Seiltanz
Recently completed: An article on the sociotopical traits of contemporary music (for the fascinating Seiltanz magazine) and an idiosyncratic, anything but contemporary piece named Begebenheit for cello or french horn with piano. May the latter serve as a remedy for the provocation of the former.
Theremin und Klavier im Konzert
My eight-year-old piece Nachtgirlande, now live recorded in a version for theremin and piano, with fabulous Carolina Eyck appearing as a soloist. Enjoy this trophy of the first-ever theremin recital in Berlin two days ago, with compositions and performances by Carolina, Christopher, and myself.
Neue Arrangements von ABBA-Songs
Preparing orchestral arrangements of six marvellous songs by ABBA, to be performed soon by students of Musikgymnasium Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Berlin. Currently on the desk: Money Money Money, Dancing Queen, and Voulez-vous. Quite an enjoyable job!
