A Little Song

Looking forward to the Berlin-Brandenburgian first performance of my composition »Lyric Diptych« for two female voices and piano, included in a fascinating recital programme presented by Anne-Sophie Balg, Caroline Seibt, and Marina Mitrovski of Trio 2achtundachtzig, on Sunday, 23 September, 5 pm, in the Protestant Church Kleinmachnow. Folk songs and adaptations are awaiting you, among them my rendering of Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach‘s »Ein kleines Lied«. The venue is just around the corner from Berlin. Catch a bus and drop by!

Animal Portraits on World Tour

I am pleased to learn that, after performances in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, South Korea, the United States, and Mexico, my instrumental duo suite Zoological Garden is scheduled in the Chamber Music Hutt Valley concert series in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, for May 2018. Thank you in advance, flautist Karen Batten and violist Sophia Acheson of the Toru Trio, and thank you also, Ingrid Bauer for getting in touch! Never thought that these capricious little miniatures would turn out to be my most successful composition.

Some Music for Organ

It’s an organ transplantation! I felt that my music could use a bit of ecclesiastical reverberation, so I arranged my keyboard piece November Lament for the queen of instruments. If you are an organist aiming to enlarge your repertoire with an affective secular composition, please find the sheet music here.

Telemanniana in Magdeburg

Fancy a musical performance in an extraordinary location? My composition Telemanniana will be premiered in the context of Theater Magdeburg‘s youth project »Telemann bewegt«, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the composer’s death. Join us in one of Telemann’s favourite places in his native city—come to the Gruson-Gewächshäuser this Friday, April 21, and listen to the chorus of Hegel-Gymnasium Magdeburg and awesome baritone Thomas Florio, conducted by Astrid Schubert. Performances start at 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm, surrounded by exotic plants and flowers. More details here.
