My eight-year-old piece »Nachtgirlande«, now live recorded in a version for theremin and piano, with fabulous Carolina Eyck appearing as a soloist. Enjoy this trophy of the first-ever theremin recital in Berlin two days ago, with compositions and performances by Carolina, Christopher, and myself.
That’ll be a multifaceted weekend. Glad to announce a triptych of events, along with cordial invitations. (1) Friday, 12 June, 8 pm: A performance of my animalistic flute-and-viola duo-cycle »Zoologischer Garten«, played by Christina Anders & Anne Uerlichs @ Schwartzsche Villa Steglitz. (2) Saturday, 13 June, 4 pm: Sacred music by Lassus and Rheinberger, performed in a concert of Kammerchor der UdK Berlin @ Zisterzienserkloster Lehnin. (3) Saturday, 13 June, 10 pm: My first appearance in a Berlin-based poetry slam @ Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften, TU Berlin, Volkswagen Library.
This morning: My first application for a professoral position at UdK Berlin, Faculty of Music. Audition could have went worse, even if I’m not overconfident. — Tonight: My first premiere on an electronic piano. Looking forward to introducing a new piece in the Composer Slam at Musikfestival Heidelberger Frühling.
